Veem&Factor is a multi service company with its head office in Eemshaven and modern terminals and warehouses in both the Groningen seaports. The company was founded in Groningen in 1923, moved to Delfzijl in 1959 and in recent times has greatly expanded its business in Eemshaven.



Veem&Factor deals with containers, general cargo and dry bulks by sea, canal, road and rail. Support services include agency, chartering, container stuffing and stripping, Customs clearance, forwarding, groupage, surveying and warehousing. Handling and storage of food products is a speciality of Veem&Factor. In addition to running Eemshaven Sugar Terminal, the company deals with cocoa, dried vegetables, powdered milk and starch.

Other commodities handled and stored by Veem & Factor include china clay, forest products, gypsum, mortar and slate. The company's new 'green energy' plant at Eemshaven uses recycled garbage to produce energy pellets for heating and power plants.
