Since 1979 Sealane Coldstorage BV has successfully and profitably operated its facility for refrigerated and deepfreeze product storage and distribution in Eemshaven (Groningen), North of the Netherlands, close to the German border.

The Coldstorage and deepfreeze facilities comprise about 100,000 m3 (approx. 20,000 plts) frozen storage capacity where temperatures can be preset individually to from +14 C to - 30 C.

Due to the excellent location of the bonded warehouses (only 25 m from the waterfront) the products can be transferred while maintaining a constant temperature. The minimal transfer time also permits a high circulation rate.

Furthermore the coldstore is equipped with inspection rooms for both veterinarian and customers. With this facilities we enable our customers to do their quality inspection in Eemshaven.

Services Eemshaven Port “a perfect cargo hub”

Eemshaven, the most northerly and highly sophisticated port is situated centrally on the north sea and is optimally accessible: there are no locks, bridges or canals. The harbour entrance has a draft of 14 meter.



The port has a spacious and open design. Because of these characteristics Eemshaven is particularly attractive to companies in the food and fishing industry. Through its outstanding road and railway connections, Eemshaven offers ready access to the European "Hinterland".

Eemshaven plays an important role in the transit trade e.g. Between the Americas, the Mediterranean, Scandinavia and the Baltic countries, the Far East, South Africa and Europe. The distance to the nearest airport is only 30 km, with a daily service to Schiphol Amsterdam international airport. This comprehensive infrastructure ensures rapid handling.
